Halloween Round Up

Halloween is awesome! It is one of my favorite holidays. Mostly because it is the kick off of the holiday season but also because it is mostly a holiday just for fun. No high expectations. No disappointment. Just sugar and fun! I am going to share some of my favorite Halloween projects from around the internets.

First is this mummy that Emily posted yesterday! So cute and full of memories!

Halloween monogram! Crazy cute!

Apothecary labels and guess what? They are free to download!

Crazy easy and inexpensive trash bag spiderwebs!

These cookies are crazy cute!

We make these every year at least once!

I love love love this idea. We are definitely doing it this year!

I love this idea and it look so simple!

Cute marshmallow ghost craft!

I love this so much! I have a deep love for skulls so I might make one and keep it up all year long!

How crazy cute is this embroidery pattern? And it is crazy inexpensive too.

I love these! I tried to link but the original post never popped up. If you have a better link please let me know and I will give credit where credit is due!

This cake looks like a relatively simple construction but super cute!

I could share a ton more! There are so many fun Halloween projects out there. And creative people! I love the internet! Have you done any awesome Halloween projects? I want to see them!

Peace out- AnneMarie

The Candy mummy-An easy DIY treat or favor for you favorite Halloween Monsters

My Mom made these Mummy treats for my family years ago and we loved them so much!
Aren't they cute!?!
She is the most wonderful mother any girl could ask for and I love her with all of my heart! My Mom is very elegant and amazing and made holidays unforgettable long before Martha or Pinterest even existed.
She is one of my very best friends and I love continuing on the traditions she began with my own family.

Here is what you will need for one Mummy....

Rolled gauze (This roll made about 2.5 mummies and was wider than I wanted but the more narrow gauze was out of stock)
double stick tape
1 snickers bar
2 werthers candies or any round hard candy
1 Hershey nugget
2 wiggly eyes
scissors

The first thing you'll need to do is cut the "tails" off the candy.

Next with the double stick tape add one of the werthers to the snickers bar to form the head and one to the end to make the feet.
Tape the nugget to form the arms to the snickers bar.
Wrap with the gauze to your liking mummy style using the tape to secure where needed. Last but not least add eyeballs.

CUTE!!

Thanks Mom!
Loves
Emily

Fall Bucket List

Fall is here! Yay fall! I am always so happy when things start to cool down. Too be totally honest I think that is why fall ranks up there with my top seasons. I am not a hot person. I am a cool/cold person! I love fall activities. I love fall food. I love the pumpkin spice and everything nice! So to celebrate fall a little bit better the family came up with a little fall bucket list. We went overboard with our summer one. We had waaay to many things to accomplish on that one so we kept fall to a minimum. We want to accomplish as many as possible over the next two months! Here it is:

*go to a pumpkin patch or two!
*check out the witches at Gardner Village
*go booing
*decorate! I know I am lame that October is half over and I haven't put up decorations yet.
*play in the leaves
*go to a drive-in
*make hand print turkeys
*Aunt Emily's pie night
*get some family photos done
*picnic up a canyon
*go to a corn maze

That is all we are putting on there. Who knows what will get done. We are keeping things loose. No restrictions! Basically no pressure for mommy to get it all done!

Pantry Bag Meal-Round 2

So here is another idea for our pantry bag meals. If you don't remember, these are the meals for those who don't have a freezer or freezer space but still want some ready to go dinners set aside for times when time is tight.
Let me introduce you to

Mexican chicken Soup.
(I found it on pinterest of course)

It is SO good and guess what? It took ONLY 8 minutes to get it hot and ready to eat!!
That is awesome!
PLUS...only 160 cals per 1 cup measure serving!!
Holy COW!
Is this real life?? :)

Gather these ingredients in your bag for the pantry

1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can garbonzo beans, drained and rinsed
1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained
1 (15 oz) can sweet corn, drained
1 (12.5 oz) can chicken breast, drained
1 (10.75 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 (10 oz) can mild enchilada sauce
1 (14 oz) can chicken broth
1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning

Write or attach these instructions to your pantry bag

Instruction Open and pour all ingredients into a large soup pot. Heat through. Serve with tortilla chips and cheese if desired.

ENJOY!
